Course description

Theory of crisis in tourism and impact of crisis on development in tourism. Main terminology. Fundamentals of security theory. Development of security in tourism. Rules regulating security in tourism. Sources, types and modes of risks. Specificity of risks and hazards in tourism. Organizing security in tourism. Estimating hazards and security. Natural and man-made hazards as well as possibilities for reducing risks.

Field work pointing to possible risks sources and their impact on certain destinations and certain types of holidays.
