Course description

Historical development of computers, computer and computer system architecture, peripheral devices, external memory, numeral systems, data representation in a computer, operating systems, files, programming and programming languages, application software, databases and information systems, computer graphics, animation and multimedia, communication and internet, computer systems security, legal software and piracy.

Parts of the computer, working with external memory and filesystem, operating system user interfaces; configuration and maintenance of the operating system; installation and the use of applications; text formatting and processing; advanced text formatting; tables and lists; text styles; creation of multimedia presentations; slide formatting; the use of themes; graphs, diagrams and graphic items; animation and transition.
